Brasil Group's story

From Managua, Nicaragua - meet the communal bank "Brasil" in their 11th loan cycle. The group includes 12 members, characterized by being unified and responsible. Their primary businesses are clothing, grocery store, sale of food, and sale of cosmetics.

Beatriz de los Angeles (wearing a white blouse and printed leggings) is 45 years old, in a relationship, and is the president of the group. Her partner works in a company. She has four children; only one attends school. Three people live in her house. Her business is sale of snack food; she has had it for six years. What she likes about her business is generating her own income. The challenge she has faced in the business is difficulty making sales during the winter [rainy] season.

She will invest the loan in the purchase of snacks, sweets juices, pencils, soft drinks, and candy. The loan will help her to stock the business. Her dream and hope for the future are to make her business grow. She advises women to move forward, to take advantage of the opportunity that Pro-Mujer provides to women with loans.
