A loan helped to buy construction materials and pay wages for laborers to build a hygienic toilet.

Thanh's story

Thanh, a 41-year-old woman, is facing the challenges of providing for her family in the remote mountainous region of Nhu Thanh district. As a member of a minority ethnic group, she and her husband, a construction worker, are striving to make ends meet for their family of five, including three school-going children.

The couple's combined income is meager, and they struggle to meet their daily needs. Compounding their difficulties is the deteriorating condition of their household sanitation facilities, which has been a longstanding issue affecting the family's health and well-being.

In an effort to improve their living conditions, Thanh decied to ask for this first loan from Thanh Hoa MFI to obtain funds for purchasing construction materials and hiring labor to renovate their sanitation facilities. By doing so, she hopes to enhance the quality of life for her family and create a healthier environment for their children.
