A loan helped to purchase a few head of cattle.

Kulzhikan's story

Kulzhikan, a 69-year-old retiree residing in the village of Kalbatau, Abai region, has been dedicated to livestock farming since 2019. She embarked on her entrepreneurial journey with just two cattle and currently lives with her grandson, Nurzhan, who serves as a physical education teacher in the local middle school. A resilient widow, Kulzhikan single-handedly raised four children and now enjoys the company of her 12 grandchildren.

Despite facing challenges in upbringing and education, the family's circumstances have normalized over time. All her children live independently, and only one grandson resides with her, having completed university education and actively assisting his grandmother in managing the household.

Presently, Kulzhikan seeks a loan of KZT 800,000 for her strategically located farm in the district center of Kalbatau to purchase feed from Semey city at wholesale prices. The cattle, primarily local Semitau and Kazakh breeds, are well adapted to the local conditions. Currently, she is focusing on fattening the livestock for meat sales. The farm's produce, including milk, butter, and cottage cheese, is known for its quality and affordability. Alongside her grandson, Kulzhikan markets dairy products at the local market during the season.
