María Del Rocío and her family live in Montecristi, known for its handicrafts made from toquilla straw, wicker, piquigua, and wood; including fine toquilla straw hats, known worldwide as 'Panama Hats', recognized both nationally and internationally. María Del Rocío, on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, offers a wide variety of clothing, sheet sets, comforters, kitchen utensils, towels, among other products. On the other days, she travels to various sectors of the city where she has customers to whom she sells merchandise on credit and collects payments weekly.
