A loan helped to buy fertilizers that will optimize crop yields.

Lisbeth's story

Lisbeth is a young indigenous farmer from Buenos Aires, Cauca, who has been harvesting in her community for the past 14 years. She currently manages a 1.5-hectare plot provided by the indigenous council, where she cultivates over 6,000 coffee plants in addition to plantain crops and a small batch of lettuce. Lisbeth harvests more than 700 sacks of coffee, processes them, and sells them to three fixed clients in neighboring municipalities every month.

Lisbeth lives with her husband and son in a house she built on a small section of her land. Her husband works as a landscapist and gardener for other agricultural lands in their area.

A loan of $1,778,923 COP helps Lisbeth to purchase a new batch of natural fertilizer that will enhance soil fertility, promote robust growth, and yield higher outputs in her coffee and plantain crops.
