A loan helped to buy dry food to sell.

Sally's story

Meet Sally a refugee mother to 5 children who all are school going and stay in Yumbe, which is in the West Nile region of Uganda.

Sally is a farmer, who grows mainly millet, sorghum, cassava and beans. Besides farming, she also rears poultry and has a small stall that sells mainly food stuffs.

Through this, she provides some basic needs to the family, though is not able to give them all that they would ever need due to the limited capital.

Sally would like to add more stock to the business so that she is able to boost her sales and pay school fees. Her dream is to have a shop where she will be able to sell a different variety of goods.

Today her life is much better, and she is happy. All this would not have been possible without the support of VisionFund and Kiva. She is forever grateful.
