A loan helped bayan to rent a new outlet for her store and to pay to stock it with merchandise for her new venture.

Bayan's story

Bayan, a resilient 75-year-old resident of Lenger in the Turkestan region, epitomizes the spirit of entrepreneurship and adaptability.

Despite being a pensioner, she actively engages in both animal husbandry and running a grocery store. Sharing her home with her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren, Bayan, a widow, has been the matriarch of her household.

Over seven years ago, Bayan opened her first store in the village. Recognizing the seasonal variations in sales, with lower demand during the winter months, she decided to take a bold step this year. Bayan opted to open an additional store in the center of Lenger.

To facilitate this expansion, she secured a loan of KZT 1,500,000. This financial support was crucial for renting a new space for the store and stocking it with merchandise for her new venture.

Initially, overseeing the business herself, Bayan has successfully involved her family members, including her daughter-in-law and a conscientious grandchild who approaches the work with dedication.

The strategic location of the new store near a school and beauty salons proved advantageous, resulting in a notable increase in revenue within the first 10 days of operation.
