A loan helped to buy materials and tools that will facilitate the construction of a coffee mill.

Fagustino's story

Fagustino is a senior farmer from Timbio, Cauca, with 53 years of harvesting experience. He owns a two-hectare terrain where he currently cultivates more than 8,000 coffee plants, 120 plantain trees and a small cassava garden. Fagustino uses a staggered planting technique to ensure a monthly harvest, which he collects with the support of 5 other farmers from his community.

Fagustino lives with his wife in a house they built together. They have five independent adult children who are engaged in various agricultural activities and constantly help them with the crops maintenance.

A loan of $3,536,755 COP allows Fagustino to acquire materials and tools that will optimize the construction of a coffee mill. This investment improves his processing capabilities, streamlining and contributing to greater efficiency in coffee processing.
