Policarpio's story

Policarpio is 47 years old. He has two children who are has greatest motivation and strength to move forward. He lives with his partner. They work growing cacao and corn as day laborers. They both are moving toward a better future.

Policarpio considers himself to be a responsible and hardworking man. For ten years he has had a business growing corn and cacao. His greatest challenge is to have a good harvest. His big dream is to plant five hectares of cacao grafts.

In addition to this business, his other source of income is raising cattle and barnyard birds. Policarpio will use the kiva loan to buy fertilizer to grow corn in order to have quality products. With the extra earnings he will build a bigger dryer for his cacao.
