A loan helped a member to stock up on used bags and shoes which will reinforce her initial investment capital.

Saint Michel Group's story

Mme Clementine is a customer of Hekima IMF and is the president of the group villageoise Saint Michel. She is a widow, 45 years old, and has 4 children who are all in school.

Mme Clementine sells shoes and launched her business 12 years ago with an initial capital provided by her husband. Later she got involved with Hekima in order to obtain additional support and gradually developed her business.

With this new loan she is going to stock up on used bags and shoes which will reinforce her initial investment capital. The challenge for her business is related to poor quality merchandize.

Mme Clementine would like her children to continue their education. She would also like to further develop her business. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for their support for businesses without access to traditional banking, especially in the context of the Covid-19 global crisis. The photo only shows the leader of the group out of respect for social distancing measures.
