Herlinda Marisol and her family live in Portoviejo, a place affected by the earthquake on April 16th, 2016. The city is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.
Herlinda Marisol and her husband have a farm where they grow plantains and coconut and raise chickens and pigs to sell them alive. They sell their production in the local markets or to those who come to buy on the farm.
She also prepares and sells traditional food by order. She sells Tonga (rice, chicken, fried plantain, with peanut sauce, wrapped in banana leaves), chicken stew, chicken soup, fish ceviche, and others.
This loan is to buy fertilizer, pay for workers, pay for water, buy piglets and chicks, and buy supplies, etc.
