A loan helped to buy stock items for her store.

Julia's story

Julia, 36, is an unassuming, hard working woman. She lives in her own house with her husband, Nemesio, 38, and their four beloved children for whom she wants to provide a better quality of life.

Julia’s store is the first one to open in her town. Her doors open at 6am and she’s ready to receive early rising buyers who, aware of the variety of merchandise she has in her store, don’t hesitate to buy from her because they are sure to find the things they need.

What she enjoys the most about her work is chatting with her customers learning what’s going on in town. She has been in business for three years and considers the most difficult part of it having to stay inside her store all day without being able to go out. In time she hopes her business will grow so that she can provide better customer service.

This is her 4th loan with MFP and she hopes to be able to repay it on time because she does not want to cause problems for her fellow communal bank members where she is much respected because of the order she imposes on the group. She will use the requested 800 new soles to buy more products to better stock her store with groceries.
