A loan helped to purchase more cartoons of fish to increase her business.

Ramatu's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 40 year old Ramatu from Goderich Branch. She is a single business woman with three children between the ages of 8 and 20 years old who are currently attending school. She started her business to take care of herself and family.

Ramatu runs a retail business and sells fish to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past four years. Ramatu says that her challenge is the increase in prices of goods in the country.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more cartoons of fish to increase her business. Ramatu says that the extra income from this loan will help her to take care of herself and family. In the future, she would like to expand to a larger scale. She says thanks to BRAC and KIVA for their support.
