A loan helped to buy farm supplies.

Albert's story

Meet Albert, a refugee father to six children who all go to school. He is a very hardworking man who says that he got where he is today not by sitting, but by not giving up in life.

He is a farmer who grows sweet potatoes, millet, beans, groundnuts and simsim. He also has a shop that sells different kinds of clothes.

Through these activities, he makes sure that he provides some basic needs to his family, though of course it is never enough.

He would like to buy farm supplies so that he can grow varieties of crops that he has not been growing. Since he already has customers, he is very certain to sell more and be able to pay school fees.

Today things are much better, and the business is getting much better each and every day, and with the experience that he now has, he is a much better person.

His dream in life is to build a permanent house. Without the support of VisionFund and Kiva, he would not be able to be who he is today.
