A loan helped to purchase 75 bags of high-quality fertilizer and saplings of acacia trees.

Tiên's story

Mrs. Tiên, at 55 years old, has dedicated her life to her family and agricultural work in the mountainous district of Cam Thuy. As a member of an ethnic minority group, she and her husband live in a small house, where they have raised their grown children to lead independent lives. Her husband works as a manual laborer in construction, while she has been engaged in small-scale farming and animal husbandry for over 30 years.

Despite their hard work, the couple's income remains low, prompting her to alternative means of increasing their earnings. She decided to lease a piece of land to cultivate industrial crops, aiming to generate additional income and protect the land from erosion. However, due to a lack of initial investment, she applied for a loan to purchase 75 bags of high-quality fertilizer and saplings of acacia trees, a valuable timber species.

Looking ahead, she hopes that the cultivation of these trees will thrive, leading to an improvement in her family's income. Her proactive approach to sustainable agriculture not only benefits her family but also contributes to environmental conservation in the region.
