Sipanto's story

Sipanto is 61 years old. She is a widow and supports her family members. She has one child under eighteen years of age, She is a livestock trader, she buys and sells goats. She has been in business for the past twenty three years, and earns an average of 20,000 KES monthly from her business. This is her first loan from VisionFund Kenya. She will be using the loan to purchase more goats to resell. The profits generated from her business will be used to pay back the loan and also pay school fees for her child who is still in school. Sipanto's hopes and dreams include opening another businesses in future.
