A loan helped a member to buy meat and sausages.

Gaviotas Sumi Group's story

This photo was taken in Flor H.’s house. She is a member of the “Gaviotas Sumi” (Sumi Seagulls) group. The group is located in the state of Veracruz in Mexico. You can see in the photo that the women in the group are happy.

Flor sells meat and sausages, which she started doing one year ago. She is requesting the loan to buy more products for her business. That way her business will be well stocked. Her colleagues and customers know her to be a responsible and hard-working person. At the time of requesting the loan she feels very happy and satisfied because through the loan she will be able to increase her sales and customers.

She is 24 years old, and she has a high school education. She is married and has one daughter. She also wishes to be able to make some repairs to her house in the near future. She wants to help her family and to continue supporting her daughter’s education. This way she will improve her quality of life.

In this group: Asuncion, Ana Patricia, Elsa, Maria Miguelina Lorenza, Flor, Felicitas, Violeta, Adelina, Feliciana, Norma
