A loan helped to buy 200 bags of fertilizer and hire laborers to take care of the trees.

Tường's story

Mrs. Tường is 62 years old and married. Her children are grown up and independent. She and her husband, who belong to Muong ethnic minority, live in a modest house in a mountainous area in Ngoc Lac district. Her husband works as a builder, and she is a helper for local families. Despite their hard work, their income is just enough to cover their living expenses.

They use the advantage of living in a mountainous area with lots of land and cool weather by growing industrial trees, such as acacia. This not only provides economic value through the harvest of wood after five years but also contributes to soil conservation and flood prevention.

Because of a lack of capital to invest in her industrial crops, she asked for this second loan from Thanh Hoa MFI to buy 200 bags of fertilizer and hire some laborers to take care of the trees. By investing in the revitalization of their land and the care of trees, she aims to enhance both the economic and environmental sustainability of their farming activities.

This loan is special because:

It supports women from ethnic communities and single parent families.
