John's story

John is a 63-year-old married man. He joined Hand in Hand Eastern Africa in 2021 and has undergone enterprise development and financial management training.

He does mixed farming. He is borrowing a Kiva loan to buy fertilizer and seeds and hopes this will increase his production, hence increasing his income. He plans to use the additional income to pay school fees for his children and also buy food his family.

He is grateful to Kiva and their lenders for the loan and promises to pay without default.
