Lucy's story

Lucy is a 36-year-old lady. She joined Hand in Hand Eastern Africa in 2020 with the aim of benefiting from financial management and enterprise development training. She is a poultry farmer. She is taking a Kiva loan to buy chicks and poultry feed, hoping to increase her production hence her income. She will use the anticipated income to buy food for her family and educate her children.
