A loan helped to buy construction materials and pay wages for some laborers to build a hygienic toilet.

Hỏa's story

Hỏa, a 64-year-old man of an ethnic minority, resides with his wife in the remote mountainous region of Ngoc Lac district. Their children have grown up and moved on, leaving them to fend for themselves. The couple's current source of income is derived from his job as a security guard at a local clothing store and from their small-scale farming and poultry-raising activities. Despite their hard work, their income barely covers their living expenses, and they face numerous challenges in their daily lives.

One of the most pressing issues for him and his wife is the deteriorating condition of their restroom facilities. The old and dilapidated restroom poses a threat to their health and well-being. Unfortunately, the couple does not have the financial means to build a new one.

In an effort to improve their living conditions, he asked for this first loan from Thanh Hoa MFI to purchase construction materials and hire laborers to build a new restroom. This investment will not only enhance their living conditions but also contribute to their health and well-being.

This loan is special because:

It supports women from ethnic communities and single parent families.
