Hamissah's story

Hamissah U. is a shopkeeper and has been a client of ACB since 2010. She is married, was born in Rwanda, and has completed six years of secondary schooling. She has a child who is 18 years old and attending school. She also has another person in her care.

Hamissah is going to use her loan to buy 7 lengths of moins riches damask cloth, 10 lengths of plain damask cloth, 20 handbags, and a dozen pairs of pants and to pay for transport. Her strategy for growing her business is to increase her capital while increasing the quantity and quality of the products she sells.

She would like to become a wholesale merchant in the Rubavu district, to improve her family's well-being, and to cover the cost of schooling for her child.
