A loan helped a woman-owned business expand my store which sells tack and barn goods as well as collectables!

Amy's story

After 22 years as a professional horse trainer, I was in need of a career change due to physical injuries sustained in 2 car accidents. What a better way to do so, is use my years' experience to open a consignment tack store. Boy was I right the response from the community has been outstanding! Since I opened last year, I now have over 300 consignors and host a local riding club's meeting. I have many ties and relationships with the equine community and a vast knowledge of the products I am selling.

This allows me to be asset to the community especially when it comes to saddle fitting. On the side I have had an art and jewelry business started in 2016. I had been successful selling at festivals till covid hit, since I then I have been selling online but do much better with in person sales. I have combined the saddlery with my art and collectables into one store hence the name Saddles & Treasures. I have always loved horses and art, to unite my passions is my dream job.

This loan is special because:

It supports a small business owner with 0%-interest, zero-fee capital.
