Esperanza Monserrate's story

Esperanza Monserrate and her family live in the city of Montecristi, known for the production of toquilla straw hats and for its varied crafts, recognized internationally.

She is a hard working woman who, together with her husband, looks for a way to earn an income and to get their home ahead. They work selling fruits and vegetables. Her husband travels to the city of Manta to sell 4 days a week, while she also sells at home to neighbours and local acquaintances, who always buy from her because she sell good products at a fair price and weight. This is how they manage to continue, and this is thanks to the help she receives from the loans.
