A loan helped a member to buy local fabric from the region.

Grupo Candelaria 1-1 Group's story

In the interior of the country of Guatemala, various women are being blessed, thanks to the big hearted people who trust and guide these women to give them a better future. One of these women is Jacinta who cares for and supports her business in one of the principal streets of her community. 5 years ago, she asked for a loan through Kiva and, thanks to her responsibleness, she was given the loan. She was able to invest it in buying fish and serve her clients the way they deserve, as well as grow her earnings a little more.
This year, Jacinta is planning to build a new business selling fabrics and, in order to complete this objective, she needs investment. So she has approached Kiva to solicit a loan to buy local fabric from the region. She, together with her group made up of 5 brave women, waits anxiously for this development opportunity. And she is already thankful for the unconditional support. Greetings!
