Salamatu's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone!

This is 35-year-old Salamatu from Masingbi branch. She is a married businesswoman with three children between the ages of 1 year and 10 years old. Two are currently attending school.

Salamatu runs a retail business and sells fast food to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 8 years. She started this business to take care of her family.

Salamatu says that her challenge is the increase in prices of goods in the market.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more food stuffs like cooking items, onions, palm oil and pepper etc, to increase her business.

Salamatu says that the extra income from this loan will help her to take care of her family. In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
