A loan helped to buy construction materials and pay wages for some laborers to build a hygienic toilet.

Ngân's story

Mrs. Ngân, a 59-year-old woman of an ethnic minority, has been living with her husband in a small house in the remote mountainous area of Ngoc Lac district. They have two grown-up children who have their own lives now. She works as a waitress in a local restaurant while her husband is a construction worker. Their combined income is barely enough to make ends meet.

The couple has been facing many challenges, one of which is the deteriorating condition of their house. The toilet is in a state of disrepair and has become a source of pollution. Unfortunately, they do not have the financial means to build a new one. In order to improve their living conditions, she decided to ask for this fourth loan from Thanh Hoa MFI to purchase construction materials such as sand, cement, bricks and other equipment and hire workers to build a new toilet.

Her story is just one example of the many difficulties that ethnic minority families in remote areas of Vietnam have to endure. Despite their hard work and determination, they still struggle to provide a decent living environment for themselves and their families. This loan is important for them to improve their living conditions and have a better quality of life.

This loan is special because:

It supports women from ethnic communities and single parent families.
