A loan helped to purchase more clothing to increase her business.

Angella's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 30 year old Angella from the Waterloo 1 branch. She is a married business woman with two children between the ages of 2 years and 5 years old. Two are currently attending school. She started this business to take care of her family.

Angella runs a retail business and sells clothing to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 5 years ago. Angella says that her challenge is the increase in prices of goods at the market.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more clothing to increase her business. Angella says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family. In the future, she would like to expand to a larger scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.

This loan is special because:

It provides access to funding in areas where there are limited alternative sources of finance.
