A loan helped to buy seeds and fertilizer for growing grass to feed calves.

Evany Yomaira's story

Evany is 20 years old. She lives in the province of Carchi, in the parish of Tulcán, a city of hard-working entrepreneurial workers.

She is very active and is always thinking about how to improve her finances. Three years ago, during the pandemic, she started selling raw milk from a cow she acquired. When she saw the profitability she decided to start raising and selling calves to generate a better income.

Evany is applying for a loan to buy seeds and fertilizer to grow grass to feed her calves.

She is very excited about this loan because it will allow her to grow and make her projects a reality.

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Robert Rutledge.

This loan is special because:

It focuses on the poorest one-fifth of the population with no access to financial services.
