Bailey has a B.S. in Business Management and John has a M.S in Environmental Studies and a B.S. in organic Horticulture from Michigan State University. Our diverse backgrounds have helped us build a successful farming career together.

We are a certified organic produce farm specializing in hoophouse and greenhouse production. The farm is located in Traverse City Michigan on the Leelanau Peninsula, situated on 58 acres with a gorgeous hill top view of Lake Leelanau and the surrounding country side. We grow a variety of vegetables with a focus on greenhouse heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, salad greens, microgreens, and cut flowers. We host an Annual Plant Sale every year in mid-May with a wide variety of organic transplants, natives, and gardening supplies.
All of our produce is sold within 12 miles of the farm. We sell to local grocery stores, restaurants, schools, a multifarm CSA, and our own Farm Market. The market is located just down the street from the farm, in an iconic, restored, 1890's single room schoolhouse.
We started our business in 2017 with the mission to provide healthy and organic produce to our local community.

What is the purpose of this loan?
We are applying for this loan to purchase a new salad greens harvester. Salad greens are one of the largest crops we grow on our farm and one of the most profitable. The new harvester will not only allow us to harvest a significantly larger quantity of greens in the same amount of time, but it will also allow us to harvest in a much more ergonomically efficient manner.
Due to the growth of our business, our current harvester has become quite physically demanding and unsustainable on the backs of our employees.

By bearing this risk, lenders protect the partner and its borrowers from catastrophic currency devaluations and contribute to the sustainability of their operations.

"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
