A loan helped to buy fertilisers and pay for labour to maintain the crop through all its cycles until the end of the harvest.

Fanny Del Rocio's story

Fanny is 45 years old and lives with her partner and her children in the parish of Cahuasqui in the canton of Urcuqui in the province of Imbabura in the north of Ecuador.

Fanny grows passion fruit in two different cycles and works every day from very early in the morning as the crops are an hour away from her house and afterwards she does her housework.

Fanny is applying for a loan to buy fertilisers and pay for labour to maintain the crop through all of its cycles until the end of the harvest. Fanny would be very grateful to Kiva if they could help her with the loan as she always strives to have more income and to be able to help with her children's education as all of them are already in higher education.
