A loan helped to buy rolls of dried pandanus leaves, a variety of colored wool, and other supplies for weaving mats.

Rayape's story

Woven mats are found in many Fijian homes and used as the centerpiece of a room. Rayape has been weaving mats for her customers since 2021 so that they can decorate their homes. With this valuable skill, she is able to earn income to support her family.

Rayape is now seeking a loan to buy more weaving supplies so that she can increase her output. Her children are approaching high school, so she is determined to set money aside for their education and their future.

Rayape has gained recognition since starting her business, so she is confident that increasing her inventory of products will allow her to earn more income.
