Comfort, seated in the middle of the picture, is the leader of a group of four hardworking women in the community called Naburinye in the Upper West Region of Ghana. They have been farming for over six years.
Their farming activities have been their main source of survival for the past years but they are faced with challenges, such as easy access to market. They face difficulty reaching distant markets to sell their produce or acquire necessary resources, which limits their economic activities.
They need to finance the purchase of a tricycle. This will help them transport larger quantities of produce and agricultural inputs compared to walking or using traditional methods, thereby increasing productivity.
In this group are; Patricia, Comfort, Dorothy and Scholastica.
