A loan helped a member to buy 50 bags of wholesale corn and cassava flour, which will boost the initial assets.

Bahati/Sg Beach Group's story

Ms Alexandrine is a Hekima MFI client and president of the "BAHATISG BEACH" village group. She is married, aged 35, and has 7 children, all attending school. Her partner is a veterinarian.

She is a vendor of various foods, having started this business 8 years ago with start-up funds received from her husband. She later became involved in the Hekima program to support her business, during which she gradually developed.

With the new loan, she will buy 50 bags of wholesale corn and cassava flour, strengthening her initial capital. The challenge facing her business is the multiplicity of state taxes.

She would like her children to continue studying and for her to develop her business. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to non-monetizable business owners in the context of the global crisis linked to COVID-19. The photo is only of the group's leader because of compliance with COVID-19 social distancing measures.
