This group is made up of active women who belong to the Banc Villageois that was set up in June 2015. They live in the same neighborhood and are either related or friends, who share solid values of harmony and mutual aid. Their main activity is trading.
Bineta, the group's representative, is 38 years old, married and mother to five children, four girls and a boy, all of whom are at school. She is standing on the left in the photo with her hand raised.
Bineta is an active retail trader of a variety of goods, which she buys wholesale in the capital and retails in her town on a door-to-door basis. She has a good experience in her activity - over five years.
With her loan she is planning to buy pairs of shoes, dresses, packets of hair extensions, confectionery..., which she will resell with a good profit margin. Her business is moving slowly because some customers pay belatedly for goods bought on credit. Her profits enable her to manage her children's small expenses (snacks, clothing) and to increase her savings.
In this group: Awa, Oumy, Ndéye Fatou, Bineta, Ngoné, Maïnatou, Adja Fatou, Astou, Khady, Tabara, Woré
