A loan helped to buy piglets, a farrowing sow, serum, small potatoes [sold as pig feed], and vitamins.

Ana Maria's story

In the community of San Roque lives Ana, a 26-year-old woman. She is the happily-married mother of three children, aged 10, 8 and 4, who are studying at a rural school in the area. She and her husband work very hard to support their home, so while he works daily she works raising small animals, especially pigs since they do not take long to grow and the profits are larger.

Ana wants to increase her animal herd, because she has adequate space for them to grow. For this reason she is requesting a loan with which she will buy piglets, a farrowing sow, serum, small potatoes [sold for use as pig feed], and vitamins. She is hoping to improve the income that her business will generate, to give her children a good future so that they can be professionals one day.
