Ricardo's story

Ricardo is a resident of Ajuy, Iloilo. She is 57 years old, married with three children. To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities. She has been in this business for eight years.

She is requesting a loan of PHP20,000 through Kiva’s field partner CEV, (A Microfinance NGO) in the Philippines. She will use this loan to buy grocery items like toiletries, snacks, canned goods, noodles, eggs, spices, and drinks. The rest of the loan will also be used to buy rice to sell.

Ricardo aspires to augment their livelihood in the future for a better means of living.
