A loan helped to buy construction materials and pay wages for some laborers to build a hygienic toilet.

Thuý's story

Mrs. Thuý is a 37-year-old married woman with two school-going children. Her family belongs to an ethnic minority and lives in a remote mountainous area in Ngoc Lac district, where she faces various challenges in her daily life.

Her husband works as a construction worker, while she is a farmer who cultivates rice and corn and also raises chickens and buffaloes to sell to local traders. Despite their hard work, their income is just enough to make ends meet and support their family.

One of the major issues she faces is the deteriorating condition of their bathroom. The current bathroom is in a state of disrepair, and they do not have the funds to build a new one. Recognizing the importance of having a safe and hygienic living environment, she has decided to ask for this first loan from Thanh Hoa MFI to address this issue.

With the loan, she plans to construct a new bathroom for her family by buying construction materials and hiring some laborers. This will not only improve their living conditions but also contribute to better hygiene and overall well-being for everyone in the household, including her elderly mother-in-law.

This loan is special because:

It supports women from ethnic communities and single parent families.
