A loan helped an immigrant woman-owned catering business to expand capacity to prepare meals 6 days a week.

Juli's story

After spending around 30 years in the Energy sector working as a Business Administrator, I decided to take action and start a new career as an entrepreneur and went for something that once was a hobby of mine, the art of cooking.

As a Business Administrator, I worked in different countries, and I had the opportunity to learn and experience a great number of recipes, flavors, spices, and new cultures of gastronomy which enlivened my passion for cooking. My first move to start my master plan was to invite family and friends to enjoy meal creations that I cooked for them as a test run.

After the pandemic, my culinary creations started to pick up people’s attention. Friends and friends of those friends started asking questions about my cooking creations. People were enjoying my food recipes, and they loved it so much that they started asking me to cater events and parties for them. I saw this experience as an opportunity to change careers and decided to turn my passion for cooking into a business. With hard work and dedication, I founded Sweet and Salty SP, a catering company that specializes in international cuisine. I combine traditional recipes with my own unique twist, and the culinary results have become a huge success.

This loan is special because:

It supports a small business owner with 0%-interest, zero-fee capital.
