Catarina's story

This is Catarina, a modest, talkative, and enterprising married woman who possesses a strong desire to get ahead. Catarina lives with her small family in Ermera municipality. She has a business selling an East Timor traditional dry cake with a variety of colors and tastes. It is a very well-known cake because of its unique taste, and lots of people love it.

Catarina has previously borrowed and repaid all of her loans on time and now would like another loan of $800 USD to buy more flour, oil, food colors, and other ingredients in order to make more dry cakes to sell and generate income for her family.
