A loan helped to pay for housing materials for home renovations.

Merly Thalita's story

Inspired through watching other people rise up in business, Merly Thalita age 46, and a mother to three, was determined to make something for herself that will help her and her family.

She has a keen eye for art and currently sells arts and crafts in a booth at the local handicraft market in her village. Her husband works for the government sector and all her children attend school. The family lives 20 minutes form town.

Merly Thalita started her business to provide for her family and has been doing so for over 15 years. She is very happy with how far her business has come, and dreams of expanding her business and building a shop that will provide more arts and crafts being displayed for people to enjoy.

Currently her plan is to purchase materials for home improvements. However, she is not able to at the moment because she is financially tied up. Merly Thalita is requesting a loan to pay for materials to renovate her home that was damaged during twin cyclones earlier this year.

All income generated from her business sales will be put towards household necessities, her children's school fees and savings for her future plans.

Through this loan Merly Thalita feels empowered to be the best version of herself and to be an example to her children. Thank you kindly for lending to Merly Thalita!

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
