A loan helped a member to buy chicks and pigs.

Thanh Luong 158 Group's story

Mrs. Hoa, 41 years old, appears on the right side of the photo. She is married and lives with her husband and daughter in a small house in a poor village. Her eldest child is an adult and has gone to work away from home.

Mrs. Hoa dropped out of school when she was in secondary school so she works very hard to send her daughter, who is 14 years old, to school with the hope for a better life. Mrs. Hoa's family has been recognized as a near-poor household by the government.

As a hardworking farmer, she plants rice and tomatoes, and she also raises chickens, ducks, and pigs. This is her ninth loan from the Anh Chi Em program. Mrs. Hoa has profited from eight previous loans, which helped her so much in life. This time, she will buy chicks and pigs to raise and sell.

She hopes she will gain a great profit from this investment. She will use the profit to pay tuition fees for her daughter. Mrs. Hoa dreams that her family will escape poverty and have a richer life. Thank you Kiva lenders for supporting her life.
