Laura Azucena's story

Laura is a 55 year old small business owner who lives in an area where agriculture has become the principal means to generate income. Laura, together with her husband have made a living growing vegetables for more than two decades. The business has allowed her to become energised with goals to accomplish. Today she visited the nearby office of MiCrédito to apply for a loan from Kiva to buy agricultural materials, sweet pepper seedlings, chile seedlings and plastic to make tunnels to protect the crops. The next step is to build more tunnels to improve production.
