Ester's story

Ester M. is from the village of Nagrumbuan, Cauayan City, Isabela. She is 30 years old and married with three children. To make a living, Ester owns and operates a motorcycle transport service business. Her main source of income comes primarily from providing motorcycle transport services to local community members. Ester is just starting this business.

Ester joined ASKI in 2010 to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. She is requesting a loan of 5,000 PHP to repair her business vehicle. This loan is the first loan taken out by Ester from ASKI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated with her loan to improve and expand her transportation business.

About ASKI:

ASKI is one of the most successful microfinance institutions in the Philippines. It has 38 branches covering the Central and Northeastern areas. Its clients are mostly of farmers, fisherfolk and small entrepreneurs.
