A loan helped to open a small food store in her rural community.

Cresencia's story

Meet Cresencia!

Cresencia lives in a rural town of East Panama called La Cantera. She lives with her husband and children.

In order to support her family, Cresencia runs a small pharmacy that offers affordable medicine to her community. In the last couple of months, Cresencia has identified a demand for staple food in her town, since the current options are very limited.

Today, Cresencia is applying for her first Kiva loan to open a small food store in her community. She aims to buy from the local farmers and sell affordable food products to her community and neighboring towns.

Thank you for supporting Cresencia's microenterprise! Working capital availability for individuals like Cresencia is extremely limited in her region.

This loan is special because:

It empowers the most vulnerable women in Central America by extending access to financial services.
