Naomi's story

Naomi is a 25-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her mother and her siblings in Chinsali district in Zambia. She sells household goods. With her previous Kiva loan, she invested in the business by buying more stock. She used the profit she earned to supported her family's needs.

Naomi is requesting another loan to increase her stock by buying more household items to meet customer needs. She plans to use the profit she earns to support her family. She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering three hours per week as a CAMFED Association Executive. She will focus on the formation and strengthening of the CAMFED Association in various locations and institutions, and leading CAMFED Association activities that give back to the community.
