A loan helped to expand her business by buying more clothes for her shop to meet customer demand.

Priscillah's story

Priscillah is a 34-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her mother and her child in Chinsali district in Zambia. She runs a boutique. With her previous Kiva loan, she invested in the business by buying more stock. She used the profit she earned to support her family's basic needs.

Priscillah is requesting another loan to expand her business by buying more clothes for her shop to meet customer demand. She plans to use the profit she earns to take her child to school and reinvest in the business. She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering 3.0 per week as a CAMFED Agriculture Guide, training other young women in sustainable agricultural practices.

This loan is special because:

It is a 0% interest loan for young women with new businesses.
