A loan helped to pay for more cooking ingredients to prepare more meals.

Marie's story

Marie is 20 years old and determined to do something for herself. She has a partner who is an electrician and the couple live together in a shanty house 20 minutes from town. Marie sells cooked meal packages to earn an income.

The sole purpose of starting her business was so that she could have something for herself which would ensure she would not always need to depend on her partner. Marie dreams of owning her own retail shop one day and currently plans on buying more ingredients to cook so her customers will have more options to choose from the meals she has on her table every day. However, because of financial restraints, she is not able to carry out her plan.

Marie is requesting a loan to help her purchase more local products to cook like taro, island cabbage, cassava and many more in order to keep up with customer demand and to provide more for her customers to choose from.

She will use the revenue earned to provide for her household needs and open up a savings account for any future plans they might have.

Through this loan Marie feels empowered to be the best version of herself for the betterment of her family. Thank you for lending to support Marie!

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
