María works selling tortillas four times per week. A grandchild helps with the business. She learned the skill with help from her mother, and opened the business 30 years ago.
She is requesting a loan to obtain the resources necessary to strengthen her business. She will buy corn, vegetables, and a set of large cooking pots, thereby increasing the inventory of her tamale business. She hopes that the investment will permit her to provide better service to her customers and meet their needs.
She aspires to make her business grow and to improve her economic situation, to have a more dignified life, and to repay the loan in the short term.
