Arlene's story

Arlene is a resident of Matalom, Leyte. She is married with five children. To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities. She has been in this business for 20 years.

Now, Arlene is asking for a loan of 25,000 PHP through Kiva’s field partner, CEV (a microfinance NGO) in the Philippines. She will use it to buy assorted groceries like toiletries, sugar, salt, canned goods, snack foods, chips, food seasonings and drinks.
